Pride Month Programs

In Canada, June is marked as Pride Month, a time dedicated to the celebration and remembrance of 2SLGBTQ+ identities, history, and rights. We offer a variety of education and training to support your organization in building awareness, overcoming barriers and understanding best practices to foster a culture of inclusion.

Program facilitation can be offered both in-person and virtually.

Pride Power Hour – This introductory session will overview core concepts and identities relating to gender and sexual diversity and inclusion. Your team will learn about different pronouns and will gain comfort and confidence in navigating interactions.

Sexuality, Gender, Identities – This interactive workshop outlines the different identities, bodies and orientations people may identify with. We review pronouns, and prefixes, discuss best practices when someone is misgendered and work together on implementing gender-neutral language. We will discuss allyship and review ways we can be inclusive both individually and as an organization.

Beyond the Rainbow – Go beyond hanging a rainbow flag this Pride Month. This pre-pride month workshop explores the ways to create and implement authentic and impactful initiatives and communications to support diverse staff, clients and the community.

We offer programs on the following topics as well. These modules can be combined or customized to best meet the needs of your organization.

  • Building comfort and understanding
  • Understanding identities
  • Gender and sexuality diversity and inclusion
  • Pronouns and interactions
  • Misgendering
  • Inclusive practices
  • Ally-ship
  • Difficult conversations
  • Responding to resistance
  • Boundaries in the workplace
  • Creating safe spaces
  • Hiring a diverse workforce
